ACO Pipe – Stainless Steel Push-Fit Drainage System
General purpose stainless steel drainage pipes for industrial and commercial facilities —designed for fast installation, high temperatures, and aggressive cleaning agents.

ACO Pipe is a comprehensive stainless steel drainage system available in multiple diameters with a wide selection of fittings and accessories. ACO’s Stainless steel socketed pipe systems is a viable alternative for use in applications that commonly specify PVC, ABS, HDPE and cast iron pipe drainage systems. ACO Pipe can generate significant cost benefits to your project.
These pipes are compatible with ACO FloorDrain and ACO Stainless steel channel systems, and can be welded when required. The ACO Pipe systems offers:

  • Resistant to fire
  • Resistant to corrosion and cleaning agents.
  • Lightweight for easy handling on construction sites
  • Resistant to oxidation and scaling while retaining strength at high temperatures
  • Easy to install and maintain making it the best choice in hygienic applications.
  • Long lifecycles usually lasting the life of the application

Push-Fit Connections: No Welding for Most Installations

The Push-fit technology, where the tubes can be easily pushed together, offers enormous advantages on site.

The unique and advanced design of the walls and edges ensures tight connections and eliminates the need for welding. This not only saves a lot of time, but also reduces costs. The double lip seal offers the ACO Pipe range the ultimate reliability.

Features & Benefits
This stainless steel pipe system combines hygienic performance with fast push-fit installation.

ACO Pipe drainage system made of stainless steel have unique properties

Drainage pipes made of stainless steel offer a modern alternative to plastic, cast or galvanized systems.

In the food industry, commercial kitchens and in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, high-temperature liquids and aggressive chemicals regularly enter the drainage system. As a result, these pipelines are subjected to significantly higher stresses.

Sustainable

When stainless steel is subjected to impact, it will usually bend rather than break. This is in contrast to brittle materials such as some plastics and cast iron. This makes it possible to carry out any repairs later, without an immediate emergency situation or having to shut down production.

Other materials also have a much higher risk of cracking, while stainless steel offers strength and durability.

Fire-resistant

No additional fire collars are required for the installation of ACO Pipe systems. Moreover, no toxic fumes are released in the event of a fire.

They are classified as a Class A1, non-combustible product.

Light

ACO stainless steel drain pipes are lightweight, making them easy to handle and install. In addition, they are extremely durable and can withstand both installation and use loads. An added benefit is that they require fewer mounting points, resulting in fewer brackets and less assembly work.

Thermally resistant

ACO drain pipes have a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which means that it only expands or contracts slightly with large temperature changes, compared to plastics.
The coefficient of thermal expansion is close to concrete, which excludes thermal stresses.
The push-fit connection absorbs any thermal expansion.

Sag-resistant

ACO Pipe drain pipes made of stainless steel require fewer attachment points than plastic and cast iron drain pipes, which simplifies and speeds up installation.

Plastic drain pipes require additional fastening to prevent sagging, resulting in more attachment points and additional assembly work. Cast iron drain pipes, on the other hand, are heavy and more difficult to handle, while the light stainless steel drain pipes are easy and quick to install.

Resistant to rodent

The use of ACO stainless steel drains provides effective and complex protection against rodents. This prevents stainless steel from being bitten through by rodents.
However, it is advisable to use extra protection, such as a rat stop fitting or a dirt separator.

The pipes system comparison

The cost saving of outdoor installation of ACO Pipe compared to cast iron pipe is between 15 and 30%.

Installation notes

  • Thanks to very good thermal expansion features of stainless steel there is no need to install expansion sockets for applications with temperature under 60°C
  • For applications where temperature exceeds 60°C we recommend expansion sockets in straight parts each 15 meters
  • For applications where temperature exceeds 80°C we recommend expansion sockets in straight parts each 10 meters
